Don't worry about the wriggles!

We just wanted to share a little reassurance about something we see in every single class ... wriggly bottoms!

At Story Imagin-ory Stockport, we absolutely expect (and celebrate!) that children under 5 won't sit still for long - and that's completely okay.

 

Young children are naturally curious, active and full of energy. Movement is actually a really important part of how they learn. When little ones wiggle, fidget, explore, or move around, they are;

• Taking in the world around them in their own way.
• Building concentration gradually.
• Learning through movement and play.
• Feeling comfortable and confident in their environment.

Our sessions are designed with this in mind. That's why we include a mix of storytelling, singing, hands-on play trays and interactive moments - so children can engage in ways that feel right for them.

Whether they are joining in, watching quietly or exploring the sapce they are still learning and benefiting from the experience.
